On 24th April 2016, the Champagne and Oysters Cycling Club will once again ride the 140 km from St Tropez to Monaco in aid of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

Last year more over 130 members of the C.O.C.C. of Monaco took part in their annual St Tropez to Monaco charity bike ride and in excess of Euros 180,000 was donated to the charity. The funds raised from this event last year were used to help in the development and growth of the awareness program on water safety and the risks of drowning and to help children to swim.

Several programs are now up and running and these can be seen on the Foundation’s website: http://fondationprincessecharlene.mc/

The Foundation now hopes to spread this awareness and learn to swim program in more countries. Their most recent initiative is the provision of portable 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pools to areas of need. The cost of each of these pools is approx. Euros 40,000.

This year the C.O.C.C (Champagne and Oysters Cycling Club) have over 120 riders, mostly business mena dn women, committed to the Saint Tropez to Monaco ride and funds raised will go to the Foundation to help finance the provision of these swimming pools. The cyclists will be led by Prince Albert and will arrive back in Monaco at 2 or 3pm, when they will stop off at Stars and Bars on the Port.

When you see them passing through Monaco on Sunday, remember to cheer them on and to donate if you can.
