Once more, the Opera Garnier hosted a glamour-filled red carpet for the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean. Presided over by Prince Albert II, this charity gala dinner raises money for the protection of our oceans, a cause that many celebrities have supported over the years.

This year's guest list was just jaw-dropping. Last night, from 19:00, the red carpet on the terraces of the Opera Garnier, in the heart of Monaco, saw some of the greatest film stars and pop icons pose before a swarm of photographers. Taking the lead was Prince Albert II, accompanied by this year's guest of honour, Robert Redford.

Leading ladies Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman brought the Hollywood glitz to Monaco but they weren't the only movie stars in attendance. Recent Emmy-winner Patricia Arquette, Chris Tucker, Jane Seymour and Andy Garcia also made the trip to Monte-Carlo. Turning the carpet into a fashion runway were top models Adriana Lima and Isabeli Fontana, as well as designer Tommy Hilfiger. The sports world was also well represented by former F1 driver Nico Rosberg.

The stage of this year's event hosted the likes of Gwen Stefani, Kool and the Gang and Andrea Bocelli, while Robin Thicke was in charge of the after-party. Some incredible items were up for auction, including an expedition to the Arctic with Prince Albert II, an electric Aston Martin, a horse riding experience with Andrea Bocelli or golfing with Andy Garcia in Los Angeles, which probably achieved eye-watering prices... all for a very good cause!
