The 25th annual charity football match that sees Prince Albert of Monaco take to the pitch alongside sports stars past and present, to tackle a team of F1 drivers, is due to take place on Tuesday 23rd May 2017.

This year the Prince will have his nephew, Louis Ducruet, alongside him as well as retired Italian cyclist Claudio Chiapucci and former professional footballer Marco Simone. The Prince's team appears to be fairly football heavy, giving him a definite advantage over the F1 team which features current drivers Felipe Massa, Sebastian Vettel, Giancarlo Fisichella, Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz Jr.

With nine former footballers from Franch, Italy, Brazil and the Czech Republic, the Prince should certainly have the golden foot on his side and should expect to win. The only thing holding them back may be the current fitness levels of the F1 Grand Prix drivers, which part way through their season and ahead of an intense Monaco GP is bound to be high.

Another advantage for the Prince's All-Star team will be the recent victory of the Monaco's National football team at home in the Stade Louis II stadium. Last night they won the Ligue 1 title for the first time in 17 years after a 2-0 win against Saint-Etienne.

The match, which was created by Prince Albert II in 1993, will take place on Tuesday 23rd May, at the Stade Louis II stadium. Kick off is at 19:00 and tickets are still available for the match.
