Another Boxing Bonanza comes to Monaco in November

The 'Del Boy' of UK boxing, Dereck Chisora, will be making his way Monaco to try and take back the European Heavyweight Championship on 4th November 2017.

Heavyweight star for the UK, Dereck Chisora, will be fighting to become a two-time European champion when he challenges Agit Kabayel for the European Heavyweight Championship belt. Chisora took the title in September 2013 after stopping Edmund Gerber and then surrendered it to Tyson Fury. The UK boxer, known as ‘Del Boy’ is looking to take the crown from Kabayel who defends for the first time after winning the strap in February this year. This will be the last fight of the night on what promises to be an exceptional night of sport in Monte-Carlo.

The Monte-Carlo Boxing Bonanza will be hosted in the prestigious Salle Médecin of the Casino de Monte-Carlo and will feature two World championship fights; WBA Light-Heavyweight and WBA Bantamweight, as well as the WBA Featherweight World Championship Eliminator and the headline fight for the European Heavyweight Championship between Kayabel and Chisora.

The WBA Bantamweight World championship will see UK boxer, Jamie McDonnell, stepping into the ring to defend his title against Venezuelan Liborio Solis.

“We are delighted to be back in Monaco for an incredible evening of World Championship Boxing live on Sky Sports in the UK and HBO across America,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “I'm excited to watch Dmitry Bivol, one of the most exciting young fighters in World boxing and of course to see the World title rematch of Jamie McDonnell vs. Liborio Solis after their last close encounter."
