Exquisite and intimate, the rooms and suites of Château Eze cling to the side of the ancient rock walls of Eze, a thousand-year-old Medieval village more than 400 metres above the Mediterranean Sea.

The hotel Chateau Eza offers 14 luxurious rooms and suites, each of them uniquely designed in the tradition of the castle and to create a different atmosphere, all featuring a separate sitting area.

There is a range of room types to choose from, many of the rooms have balconies, with views overlooking the French Riviera. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, safe, TV, free internet access, iPod dock, mini-bar and bathrobe as standard.

2. Cap Estel Hotel, Eze

Situated on its own two-hectare peninsula jutting into the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel has wonderful panoramic views. With only 28 rooms spread over four separate locations, it is a very private and luxurious place to stay.

Most of the rooms are located in a mansion built in 1899 but extensively renovated in 2003. It has two penthouse suites with spacious private terraces and deluxe double rooms on the lower floors. There are also three rooms by the sea's edge overlooking the private beach, a separate Italian-style building with two apartments, and another two suites built above the sea.

There is also a great gourmet restaurant, a poolhouse and a relaxing spa. Additionally, the hotel boasts a private beach, two pools, one of them with an infinity edge and jacuzzi, and a cinema.

The Cap Estel will be closed from January 2nd to March 8th 2017 and in 2018 from January 1st to March 8th.

3. Jerome Boutique Hostellerie Hotel, La Turbie

Former 13th-century Cistercian monastery tastefully renovated offering 5 beautifully decorated en-suite rooms, a Michelin-starred restaurant and a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.

All their rooms have been individually designed and boast a refined decoration. They have views over the sea or the village, with a modern en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and WiFi access.

This small hotel certainly gives you an all round gastronomic experience. The restaurant is Michelin starred and the rooms as so sumptuous that you can't help but feel indulgent.

4. Port Palace Hotel

With urban elegance, chic interiors and just steps away from the casino, boutique shopping and the legendary F1 Grand Prix circuit, this hotel is a gem in the heart of Monaco.

All of the guest rooms face the marina and offer superb views of the superyachts and sparkling blue Mediterranean. Their choice of rooms varies from standard to delux and grand corner suite to executive corner suite. Each one finished to the highest quality and decorated in fresh colours. A hair salon is also available for those last minute touches, or if you fancy a make-over.

The hotel has a spa where you can relax and enjoy treatments such as a steam bath, Oriental peel and facials. The fitness centre has an area dedicated to pilates and yoga and all the latest in gym equipment and machines.

This hotel has 45 rooms, including suites and junior suites, offering distinctive comfort in the Florentine style. The sun-drenched rooms are elegant and stylish, offering perfect luxury and comfort.
