The Forbidden City is one of the most impressive palace complexes, and the world's most popular tourist venue, with some 10 million visitors annually. Now, in a new Grimaldi Forum exhibition, the Forbidden City comes to Monaco.

The exhibition, The Forbidden City, which runs from the 14th of July to the 10th September 2017, will evoke life during the last feudal dynasty of Chinese emperors. Over 200 precious objects have been borrowed from collections across the globe and drawn from the millions which make up the collection of the Forbidden City, to be presented in Monaco. Pieces which will endeavour to narrate a history of Chinese civilisation from 1644 through to 1911.

Also this summer, Monaco will discover that 'no one puts Baby in the corner' as the hit show, Dirty Dancing: the musical, comes to the Grimaldi Forum. The forbidden love between a teenage girl and a dance teacher at a holiday camp in 1960s America has become a cult classic, making Johnny and Baby household names.

A whole host of other shows, exhibitions and musical performances will be taking place at the Grimaldi Forum this summer, so don't forget to check out their programme and our Monaco events calendar for more information.
