Kraftwerk in Concert
Legends of electronic music Kraftwerk perform in Monte-Carlo
Founded in 1970, multimedia project Kraftwerk achieved international recognition a few years later, thanks to their “sound paintings” and experiments using magnetic tapes, synths and robotic voices.
Their compositions, blending technical innovations, synthesized voices and computerized rhythms had a major international impact on all musical genres, from Electro to Hip Hop, from Synth Pop to Techno. In their stage performances, Kraftwerk – Ralf Hütter, Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert, Falk Grieffenhagen – demonstrate their faith in the alliance between man and machine.
In 2012, Kraftwerk performed at the MOMA in New York to present a retrospective of its repertoire. The success of this performance opened the doors to the Tate Modern Turbine Hall in London, the Sydney Opera House, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin and the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris. In 2014, Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider were awarded a Grammy Award for their career.
Blending music, video and performance art, their 3-D concert on November 11th 2015 at the Sporting Monte-Carlo promises to be like a “Gesamtkunstwerk – a total work of art.“
