A Boire A Manger Restaurant, Menton

Simple, delicious food in the centre of Menton

featured in Restaurants Updated

This is the restaurant where Menton locals go for lunch. They serve huge platters with meat, fish, cheese, sandwiches... all made with high quality ingredients, and their burgers are famous around town.

Their platters usually come with chunky chips and a salad, so you will definitely refuel your energy to continue exploring the Cote d'Azur. Leave some space for their cafe gourmand, a cup of coffee with three different home-made desserts.

Open Tuesday to Thursday, 11:00-16:00, Friday and Saturday 11:00-15:00 and 19:30-23:30. It is very popular, so it is a good idea to book in advance (by telephone) or you will probably have to queue to get a table.

  • "Amazing that a full and lively restaurant can be operated with such care and personality. The food here was fantastic and the hostess kindly took the time to explain both the food and wine menu to us with so much enthusiasm and pride. You have to have a meal here if you've got the time!" - Trip Advisor
  • "We had read several of the reviews on this site of this restaurant in Menton and we were not disappointed. Spacious room, with wonderful high ceiling, good atmosphere but not chaotic, 'plateau canivore' not for the faint hearted, cooked to perfection, food was tasty and well priced, home made sangria was delicious. Host and hostess were extremely busy but friendly and pleasant.
A great location for a meal out in Menton" - Trip Advisor
  • "My husband and I have eaten at this awesome find 2 times so far and will be back! The burger is one of the best I have ever had anywhere! The sweetbreads were excellent and the foie gras is outstanding. The frites and salad served with each planche were excellent. The desserts were phenomenal! Everything is made fresh to order and well worth the wait. I will dream about this place when I am in the States!" - Trip Advisor
