History

Created in 1961 by Prince Rainier III, the Television Festival of Monte Carlo has, for over half a century, followed the trends of the small screen and anticipated the game-changing programmes of the sector.  Well regarded by professionals , International stars, producers, directors, writers and directors of studios and TV channels, each year you can find them participating in the different events. During the three day event there are a series of launches, film previews, conferences, master classes, workshops for professionals, immersive interactive experiences demos, press activities, public events, VIP meetings and signings. A unique competition takes into account TV programs from around the world in the categories of fiction and documentary to win a Golden Nymph at the closing ceremony.
