Royals host Monaco Red Cross Gala 2018
The charity ball celebrated its 70th anniversary last Friday
Started under the patronage of Prince Rainier, the Red Cross Ball Gala is "the highlight of the summer in terms of social and charity events" in Monaco according to Prince Albert who presided over the celebration together with his wife Princess Charlene.
According to the Monte-Carlo monarch, it was his mother Princess Grace who actually turned the charity ball into one of the biggest occasions of the summer in the French Riviera. She brought the celebrities to the Principality, inviting Hollywood stars and singers like Sammy Davis Jr., Ella Fitzgerald or Shirley Bassey.
This year, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the bash, the Monaco royals invited Seal to perform. He was joined by model Adriana Karembeu on the stage while the VIPs filled the dancefloor.
