The NRJ DJ Awards 2015 in Monaco
David Guetta voted "Best French DJ of the Year"
For the fourth consecutive year, the NRJ DJ Awards have rewarded the greatest French and International DJs live in Monaco.
The two great winners of the evening were undoubtedly David Guetta and Swedish DJ Avicii. The French DJ, Guetta, was voted not only the "Best French DJ of the Year", but was also rewarded for his album "Listen", which was named "Best Album Dance / Electro of the Year". The Swedish DJ, Avicii also claimed two awards: "Best International DJ" and "Best Live Performance".
Other winners of the evening were, Robin Schulz who received the award for the "International Revelation of the Year", with over 500 million views on Youtube it is clear that he is one of the most promising DJs of his generation. The collective Major Lazer was also rewarded. Led by Diplo, the group received the award for "Best Club Hit" for the song "Lean On".
Martin Solveig then received an award that recognised his entire career. Having been involved in music since he was knee-high, as a boy, he actually studied classical music. By age 13 he had acquired his pair of decks and began DJing, although it wasn’t until 1992 that he discovered electronic music.
