The newer & larger of the two ports in Menton
Menton is a beautiful town on the Italian border only 4 miles from Monaco, and boasts two very good marinas. This information is for Port de Menton Garavan; for the Port Municipal de Menton (Vieux Port), please click here.
Garavan Port is situated only 800m from the Italian border in one direction, and 800m from the Old Town of Menton in the other. This is the newer and larger marina of the two Menton ports with 770 berths— of which 170 are public. The marina can accommodate yachts up to 40m in length and 3m in draft.
There are restaurants and shops lining the marina, as well as numerous marine services. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the rates tend to be very reasonable in comparison to many Riviera ports.
Local attractions are plentiful, including the Sablette Beach and the famous exotic gardens and Belle Epoque architecture. Menton’s location by the Italian border also makes Menton a superb jumping off point to either the French or the Italian Rivieras.
Please note that entry to the port can be difficult when a strong southerly is blowing.
