A Great Summer for Tourism in Monaco
New figures announced by the Department of Tourism & Conferences of Monaco
The summer 2015 season was “absolutely excellent, with a hotel occupancy rate the best ever recorded in the Principality”, according to William Rose, Director of Department of Tourism and Conferences of the Principality of Monaco (DTC)
Mr Rose continued to say, “June was very good, very good in July and August was quite well. We are doing very well despite the works started in Monte Carlo and the 150 rooms of the Hotel de Paris are unavailable, and even now we managed to increase the numbers.”
There was an increase in certain nationalities visiting, including an increase of Chinese customers by 17% and Saudi tourists by almost 24%.
All in all a successful summer for Monaco and hopefully a trend that will continue into the 2016 summer season.
