Every year, the best chefs from all around the world leave their kitchens and gather together to find out who have been chosen among The World's Best 50 Restaurants. This year, that day was yesterday and the chosen location was the Spanish city of Bilbao where Mirazur Restaurant, in Menton, was voted the 3rd best eatery in the globe.

Over 1000 culinary experts, including chefs, food writers and well-travelled gourmets, decide who enters the prestigious selection. Mirazur, a 2-Michelin-star restaurant overlooking the sea at the foot of the dramatic cliffs of Menton, hasn't stopped climbing positions on the list. In 2016, it achieved number 6, rising to the 4th position last year and up to the top 3 in 2018.

Chef Mauro Colagreco, of Italian-Argentinian origin, is the master architect of this stunning eatery. His eclectic cuisine draws influence from the French gastronomic heritage, as well as from Mediterranean flavours and international trends, using mainly local produce sourced at markets on both sides of the French-Italian border.

Travelling foodies shouldn't miss their chance to book a table at the world's 3rd best restaurant, located just on Monaco's doorstep.
