Wednesday 26th September will see the second edition of the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Oceans, a large fundraising event hosted by Prince Albert II and celebrated on the Terraces of the Opera Garnier in Monte-Carlo.

This year, the charity gala in support of worldwide initiatives to protect and manage the oceans in a sustainable manner will be attended by a whole host of celebrities. Many Hollywood actors, international music stars and other VIPs have pledged their support to the cause.

In 2017, the main guest of honour was Leonardo DiCaprio, well-known for his passionate defence of the environment. He was accompanied by actors Adrien Brody and Olga Kurylenko, as well as singers Nelly Furtado and Robin Thicke. But 2017's guest list pales in comparison to this year's impressive A-list cast.

Madonna, Orlando Bloom, Pierce Brosnan, Gerald Butler, Andy Garcia, Hugh Grant, Goldie Hawn, Diane Lane, Eva Longoria, Chris Tucker, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Jacques Perrin have answered Prince Albert II's call to be chairs of the event, together with returning guests Adrien Brody, Robin Thicke and Olga Kurylenko. The co-chairs are no less glamorous, including supermodels Karlie Kloss, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Sara Sampaio and Shanina Shaik.

The Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Oceans will take place during one of Monaco's most prominent gatherings, the Yacht Show, a luxury superyacht event.
