Glamorous Monaco is no stranger to a good celebrity gathering but last night's Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean might have been the glitziest yet. Answering the call of Prince Albert II, Hollywood stars, pop artists, fashion icons and a whole host of models walked the red carpet at the charity gala.

Taking place at the Opera Garnier, in the heart of Monaco, the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean raised €21 million for the protection of the world's waters. Besides paying a hefty price to access the dinner gala, attendants could also place their bids on a series of luxury lots at the event's auction. We can't help but wonder who won the horse riding experience in Portugal with Madonna. Will we see the Queen of Pop and Katy Perry trotting along the ocean like Amazons?

The biggest stars on the red carpet were Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom who posed together in public for the first time since resuming their relationship. They even snapped a few pictures with the gala's hosts, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene. Hollywood stars Adrien Brody and Olga Kurylenko were there just like last year, as was pop icon Robin Thicke and disco diva Gloria Gaynor.

In the midst of the fashion week frenzy, just when Milan has finished and Paris started, many supermodels made the trip to Monaco to support the cause. There were so many that the gala's red carpet looked like a runway. Victoria's Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Lais Ribeiro, Toni Garrn and Blanca Padilla, Victoria Silvstedt, Mathilde Goehler, Charlott Cordes, Catrinel Menghia, Isabeli Fontana and Lara Leito strutted along the photocall in true supermodel fashion. Designer Tommy Hilfiger, a regular visitor of the Cote d'Azur, was also there.

The VIP guest list was complete with French politician Segolene Royal, Monaco royals Pierre and Beatrice Casiraghi, American surfer Kelly Slater, US musician and producer Nile Rodgers and French actor Jacques Perrin.
