April begins all along the Cote d'Azur with the inaugural Festival des Jardins. With the theme of 'Awakening of the Senses' the very first garden festival brings together the scents of Grasse and the Mediterranean, the citrus trees of Menton, the sounds of cicadas and the waves and the stunning landscapes that can be found all along the coast.

The Festival Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo brings is several concerts at the beginning of April to celebrate the richness of classical music in the spring time. These special concerts are a must for any classical music lover visiting the area. This Festival showcases some of the best in musical and visual arts across the Principality with exhibitions, concerts and operatic performances, film, theatre, fine arts & dance.
World's tennis masters come to Monte-Carlo
One of the most anticipated sporting events in the Riviera, the Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters is hosted during the third week of April on the glamorous clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club. The setting is quite fantastic, with the Mediterranean to one side and mountains to the other, in the middle of glamorous Monte-Carlo.
