Without a doubt, the easiest way to get to Monaco is to arrive at the International airport situated just 30km away in the city of Nice. With numerous International and European flights landing here every day you would be hard pushed not to find a convenient flight to suit your needs (have a look at our flight finder to find the right one for you). Once you have arrived at Nice International airport the regular 30-minute train service that runs between the Nice Cote d'Azur airport (Nice Saint Augustin train station) and Monaco means that you don't even need to consider an airport transfer or a taxi, however, if you prefer the comfort and ease that they provide then there are certainly plenty available. Of course, there is always the option of a helicopter transfer... quicker and far more stylish! Heli Air Monaco run a helicopter shuttle service that takes just 7 minutes and leaves every 15 minutes from Nice or Monaco, costing just €266 for two people.

If you were considering driving here then you should remember that parking in the centre may prove expensive and challenging during the week-long event. Check with your accommodation in advance to see if parking is available.

Another quick and convenient way to get to Monaco is by train. The main station of Monaco/Monte-Carlo station is connected to the rest of France via the SNCF train network, with the TGV (France's high-speed rail service) running daily, direct from Paris.

The Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters is one of the most popular events of the year so you will need to book well in advance for boutique or luxury hotels within walking distance of the venue or indeed anywhere in Monaco itself. As the venue is situated to the northeast of Monaco you will want to consider hotels anywhere from Monte-Carlo, north to Larvotto and La Rousse. Bear in mind that cheaper accommodation will be available to the south of the principality, around La Colle and Fontvieille but getting to the venue from here may be more troublesome.

If you want to make more of a trip out of it then you will always be able to find a last minute room in one of the many city hotels in neighbouring Nice, which is easily within easy reach of the venue via the local train or bus services. 

For something really special then you could always look to one of the boutique hotels in the surrounding hilltop villages of Eze or La Turbie.

It is possible to book tickets for the tournament online but you should be aware that there are different rates if you are a member of a tennis club or tennis school, so check with your club or school before you buy. A variety of passes are on offer, including several packages that include lunch, champagne and other treats. You can book these online at the Offical Ticketing website. Special packages, as well as nine-day passes to the event are also available. Make sure you set yourself a reminder for next year (2019) if you are interested in these and get in early!

NB: Official resale of e-tickets - Only the official resale website for the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters can guarantee the validity of the tickets. Anyone holding tickets purchased from unofficial websites may be refused entry to the tournament without the right to any compensation.

Hosted at the Monte-Carlo Country Club which lies to the northeast of Monaco in Roquebrune Cap Martin, the 2017 Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters starts on Saturday 14th April and runs until Sunday 22nd April.

Car
If you are driving then you can use the 'La Digue' and 'La Colle' car parks and take the free shuttle service to reach the Tennis Club. Special parking rates are available here if you present your tournament tickets.

Train
The rail service stops at the Monte-Carlo Country Club (between Monaco/Monte-Carlo and Roquebrune) situated just 600 metres from the gates of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. If you alight at the Monaco/Monte-Carlo station you can take the bus to the Monte-Carlo Country Club on the 1, 4, 5 or 6 Monaco bus lines, in the direction of St Roman or the Larvotto (free access upon presentation of tennis ticket).

Bus
More convenient if you are staying in nearby Nice, you can use the Nice Côte d’Azur transport system: Line 100 leaves every 15 minutes from Nice Central Bus Station (about 1-hour journey); Line 110, every 30 minutes from Nice Airport (about 50 minutes journey). Alight at the “Saint Roman” bus stop in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin to reach the Monte-Carlo Country Club.

Monaco has no shortage of good quality cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The venue itself has plenty of options for food so that you don't need miss out on any tennis during the tournament. As well as several snack bars you also have a choice of different restaurants, several of which are by reservation only and several more are self-service. However, if you fancy something a little more special then why not try one of Monaco's famed Michelin-starred restaurants, or perhaps the Mirazur in neighbouring Menton for a real treat. Restaurants at this time of year are likely to be busy as families, corporate groups and friends flock for lunch before a match or for dinner after the day's excitement on centre court. Advance reservations will certainly make your life easier and save you wandering the streets looking for food. Start planning now.

A visit to Monaco can hardly be complete without a visit to the infamous Casino de Monte-Carlo and having a flutter... even if you are not a gambler. The stunning Belle Epoque building is certainly home to the most prestigious casino in Europe and it sits in the equally as stunning Place du Casino where you can stop for a coffee at the Cafe de Paris and enjoy watching the world go by. This being Monaco, there is, of course, a museum completed dedicated to automobiles and not only the fast Formula One types! The collection was started by Prince Rainier III who was a huge car enthusiast and the vehicles range from the earliest models, through the classics and right up to the modern day cars.
