Bar Americain bar

The Hôtel de Paris' fantastic cocktail bar and lounge oozes old world class. It has a cosy, elegant low-key ambiance, with big leather armchairs, sea views and live music from Doctor Gabs' piano.

Elegance, soft armchairs and a million dollar sea view await you at Le Bar Americain, part of the famously decadent Hotel de Paris. Live jazz plays every night with piano, double bass and drums.

Snacks are available, bar opens at 12:00 and shuts at 02:00. This is a truly Monte-Carlo experience, and worth dropping by to enjoy the music in this famous Monaco institution.

2. Horizon Rooftop Restaurant & Champagne Bar

Sit back in this lounge and take in the magnificent views across the Mediterranean, Port Hercule and the Rock of Monaco, while luxuriating in the atmosphere of exclusivity.

This bar is part of the luxurious Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo and offers some of the best views and services. Cocktails, caviar and oysters are also available, along with a fine wine selection. Must not be bothered by the smell of cigars as there is a whole menu of them on offer for your enjoyment!

Guest DJs and a stunning vista make the Blue Gin a magical place in the Principality that you won’t want to miss. Come discover the original menu, known for its daring creations and original cocktails.

Also discover the Shisha menu available on the terrace from June to September, and drink cocktails or select from a range of top end gins.

Brasserie du Cafe de Paris, Monte-Carlo style of cuisine

With Belle Epoque style windows, recalling the old Parisian bistros, the building creates a bright and friendly atmosphere.

This is an ideal place for lunch or dinner in the heart of Monte-Carlo, right on the legendary Place du Casino, to enjoy the cuisine prepared by Chef Jean-Claude Brugel. In true brasserie style the waiters sweep by holding aloft succulent plates of seafood in season, tempting dishes of the day and traditional fare.

Outside the terrace offers you the privilege of being “outside” at any time of the year. This space can also be booked for groups of up to 100 people (maximum). Open year round, from breakfast until late into the night, the terrace bar is the place to savour a wide range of drinks and exotic cocktails.

7. La Note Bleue Beach Club

A private beach where you can relax and enjoy a lounger, have your feet in the cool blue waters, or enjoy the cooling mist on a sunbed.

Stunning, sophisticated beach club and restaurant, playing live jazz music in the evenings. Enjoy a day sipping cocktails on deckchairs and daybeds; as the sun sets the lanterns come out and you can dine under the stars in a very elegant garden-like setting.

New to the beach club is 'The MIST' terrace, a cool curtain for your well-being and comfort. An environmentally friendly process offering immediate refreshment.

The beach with its white cotton beds, olive trees and bamboo is ideal for sunbathing and relaxation. The Lounge, a true heart that beats to the rhythm of jazz concerts and restaurant where chef Laurent Paya prepares for you the very best of local produce.

Open from 2nd March until end of November, daily from 08:30 until 17:00.

Amber Lounge, Monaco

8. Amber Lounge Nightclub

Amber Lounge is where the stars of Formula One rub shoulders with royalty and VIPS from around the world, away from the eyes of the media.

They are renowned for hosting the best and most glamorous F1 parties and fashion shows welcoming the world's top models, designers and a glittering A-list of guests including members of Monaco's royal family.

9. Jimmy'z Sporting Nightclub

This nightclub is situated in the middle of the Sporting Monte Carlo Complex, and is one of the most prestigious clubs on the Riviera. 

Set around a tropical Japanese garden and pool, Jimmy’z is exclusive and often full of celebrities, especially during events like the Grand Prix. Big name DJs play here on a regular basis, including Bob Sinclar, Axwell, Martin Solveig, David Morales and Boy George.

It is a little on the expensive side with a single drink costing you around 30 euros, however, you are guaranteed an amazing experience. There’s also a Jimmy’z at the Casino. 

With a long history, beginning back in the early 1970s, Jimmy's Monte-Carlo has built on its reputation and certainly doesn't rest on its laurels. Constantly changing, keeping up with current trends in music and entertainment, you cannot fail to be impressed with this club.

Open from Thursday to Sunday from 23:30 until late. Valet parking service available.

Twiga Restaurant, Shisha Bar & Nightclub, Monte-Carlo terrace

10. Twiga Restaurant, Shisha Bar & Nightclub

The restaurant is open from 19:00 until 01:00 when the Twiga Sumosan transforms into one of the hottest nightclubs in Monaco. Snacks of pizza and focaccia are served until 04:00.

The nightclub at Twiga is born from the experience derived or gained from the Billionaire Clubs, one of the legendary nightclubs and a worldwide famous brand. Twiga Monte Carlo nightclub was created to appeal to a chic international clientele, including stars of show business, fashion and sport and to become a rendez-vous for the International Jet-Set.

Buddha Bar, Monte-Carlo

11. Buddha Bar Restaurant

Located in a historic concert hall, this extraordinary Asian themed bar and restaurant is famed for its DJ’s, which have spawned the famous world music Buddha Bar compilations.

Have a drink in the bar under the cavernous ceiling, taking in the giant Buddha and Asian décor.  Or eat sushi or sophisticated Chinese food on one of the two open air terraces. It would be a shame to miss this Monegasque institution.

La Rascasse

12. La Rascasse Nightclub

This brasserie serves Mediterranean cuisine to a F1 following, sitting perfectly on the Rascasse corner of the circuit and offering a fine position from which to support the drivers.

This bar/club down in the port, down amongst the superyachts, is named after the famous Rascasse bend on the Monaco Grand Prix circuit. With a big outdoor terrace looking out over the yachts and a big indoor bar/dance floor this institution converts from a pleasant café during the day, through to a bar with live music in the evenings, with DJ’s taking over from about 11 through until dawn. In a rarity for Monaco, there’s even a happy hour from 6:30-8:30. One of the less pretentious Monaco venues, and a great night out.

Stars'N'Bars, Monte-Carlo

13. Stars'N'Bars

In the heart of the port among the giant yachts is Stars N Bars, an American-style bar and diner that sprawls over three levels and a big outdoor terrace. 

The place is full of memorabilia- there’s a sports celebrity museum and even a genuine F1 car hanging on a wall that was donated by Mika Hakkenen. This place has real sporting credentials; on day 4 of the Grand Prix the F1 drivers and teams use the Stars N Bars outdoor terrace as their ‘paddocks (headquarters)’. Very popular with yacht crews, tourists and anyone looking for a fun night out with friends or family that isn’t overly pretentious. Sensational views over the port and occasional celebrity-spotting. Serving a menu of international favourites for the expat community -burgers, Mexican and even Indian food.  DJ’s on weekends. 

Kitchen open non-stop 11:00-00:00 every day.

The Sea Lounge, Monte-Carlo

14. The Deck Monte-Carlo Beach, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

Set on a deck above the the water, this luxurious lounge bar/restaurant offers comfortable couches on which to wile away the hours drinking cocktails under the stars.

DJ’s play until 1am, with shisha and organic pizza on offer...and caviar and a wide range of champagnes, of course. This is Monaco, after all.  Don’t forget your wallet, this magnificent experience will cost you. Only open in the summertime. 

Brasserie de Monaco, Monte-Carlo

After stopping brewing for many years, Prince Albert II threw his weight behind this local brewery a few years ago to start producing their own beer again.

The approach of the Brasserie de Monaco is unique: it combines its organic beers a map based on fresh regional products made on site. Large wooden tables, contemporary bar, lounge areas, terrace bar, DJ, Live bands, giant screens, themed evenings ...

Now, it’s a thriving sports and music bar with a big beer garden , a happy hour between 6 and 8 pm and a menu of good pub favourites such as burgers.  It also has DJ’s and a dance floor, open until 3 am on Saturdays and 1am other nights.
