A stunning walk through the scarred hills above Eze
Taking in the two peaks of La Forna (621m) and La Simboula (675m) this walk leads you through the fire scarred landscape with great views overlooking the coastline.
The area is rich with history and with views of the snow capped mountains to the north this is a great walk for clear days, where you can see for miles around.

From the car park located on the west side of La Turbie, follow RD 2564 for 200m towards the Col d'Eze to find a right turn just after the large warehouse. Turn up this road, Chemin de la Forna and continue along it where it soon turns to a dirt path. It will soon come above the toll station of the A8, where the noise will slightly distract from the tranquillity of this walk. You will soon reach the trail marked Fort de la Revere, take a left here and keep traversing the mountain. You soon reach another junction, take a left and follow the track to the summit of La Simboula 675m.
After taking in the views form the summit, return back down the ascent path and rejoin the trail taking a left to continue the traverse of the mountain. Follow this trail through two old military tunnels, both tall and narrow. Following this trail will lead you to the summit of La Forna 621m. After this summit continue along the path in the same direction to rejoin the approach trail that will lead you back to the town of La Turbie.
