Plage des Fosses Beach
A fine pebbly beach that's good for families
Plages Fosses and Plage Fossettes are neighbouring beaches that are amongst the easiest to access in Cap Ferrat.
Just a few minutes walk from the Saint Jean Cap Ferrat port, they are both in sheltered coves that provide crystal-clear, calm water that is ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
Neither beach has much in the way of facilities and Fosses is the more basic of the two; there is nowhere to buy food or drink, so you will need to buy your own from one of the shops in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat before you arrive. You are only a short walk from the port though, where you’ll find a ton of cafés and restaurants.

Water Safety & Clarity
There is a concrete jetty that sticks out into the sea, which many people use as a sunbathing deck. It's also a popular launchpad for children who want to plunge straight into the water. There are no lifeguards on this beach.
Beach Quality
The beach is a mix of fine pebbles and gritty sand, with some dried-up seaweed and driftwood mixed in. It’s fine underfoot but not very comfortable to lie on, so bring a big beach towel.

Snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing are your pastimes on this beach - doesn't sounds too bad!
Directions
The only parking is along residential streets and it can be very hard to find a space, so you are best taking the 81 bus to the port and walking from there.
